I have lymphedema.  My doctor referred me to Edema Therapy Company for treatment and they have been wonderful.  They not only come to my home for treatments but they do their very best to make the visit times convenient for me.  The therapists are thorough but gentle. I have come to think of the young women from Edema Therapy like family.  I recommend them to anyone having similar health problems.

I am a 79-year-old male, and about 4 years ago, I started having problems with swelling (edema) in my feet, ankles, and lower legs. As the condition progressed, my family doctor (Primary Care Provider) prescribed a diuretic, told me to elevate my feet, and reduce my salt intake. After one year, the condition had worsened and I had to purchase larger shoes to accommodate the edema. The condition progressed, and on my next visit my family doctor prescribed a second diuretic.

Six months later there was no change in my edema and my family doctor introduced me to the Edema Therapy Company, located in Daphne, Alabama. There I met three extremely knowledgeable, totally professional and efficient therapists. I was told my condition was Lymphedema, which is incurable, but can be controlled. Through their expert care, in three weeks, my feet, ankles, and lower legs, were normal and I was wearing my normal size shoes without pain in my feet and ankles.

After six (6) months, with the use of Redi-Wraps at night and compression garments during the day, my Lymphedema remains under control.
